Sexual Scandal Rocks McDonald's in Britain

A new scandal has shaken McDonald's in Britain, as allegations of sexual and racial misconduct against its employees come to light. Over 100 employees from McDonald's restaurants reported experiencing assaults, sexual harassment, or racist practices within the renowned American chain. These allegations add to a list of accusations the company has faced over the years.

The BBC reported that "employees, some as young as 17, were subjected to unwanted physical contact and faced harassment almost daily." The UK Equality and Human Rights Commission expressed concern over these new allegations of sexual and racial harassment, noting that they have established a hotline to report harassment incidents at McDonald's.

The commission added that McDonald's "has made legally binding commitments that we will verify, including reporting on its zero-tolerance policy towards sexual harassment." A spokesperson for the UK government described the situation as "extremely concerning" and urged McDonald's to address the allegations "with the utmost seriousness." The fast-food giant employs 177,000 staff in the UK, the majority of whom are young, including teenagers.
