Ambulance workers and the Islamic resistance movement "Hamas" announced that "Israeli forces killed two Palestinians, one of whom belonged to the movement, during an incursion into a refugee camp in the West Bank on Sunday morning." Paramedic Najeeb Adeb stated that the Israeli forces raided the Noor Shams refugee camp east of Tulkarm, which was followed by an exchange of gunfire. Hamas stated that "one of the deceased was a member of its military wing." No comment was issued regarding the affiliation of the other victim. For its part, the Israeli army announced that it carried out a "campaign to combat wanted individuals" in the camp, destroying a command room for combat operations and discovering dozens of ready-to-use explosives and components for making bombs. The statement read: "During the campaign, some suspects threw explosives and fired at the forces, who responded by returning fire and recorded injuries among a number of militants." The army announced that an Israeli soldier was moderately injured.
