The U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) announced today that Secretary of State Antony Blinken has approved a potential deal to sell 155mm M107 rifles and related equipment to Israel for $147.5 million. The Pentagon added that Blinken has determined that there is an emergency requiring the immediate sale of these weapons to Israel, thereby suspending the congressional review requirement for the deal.
