Lebanese Boat Sinks with Over 100 People Off Tartus

Syrian television reported the sinking of a Lebanese recreational boat in the border waters off the city of Tartus, with Syrian rescue teams retrieving some passengers who were taken to the city's hospital. Local news pages indicated that the boat, carrying Lebanese and Syrians, was likely filled with migrants and sank near Arwad Island off the coast of Tartus.
