The Central Bank of Lebanon issued a report showing a decline in foreign liquid assets at the central bank. "This decline is primarily due to the decrease in the euro's exchange rate against the US dollar, which closed at 1.0611 on September 30, 2023, after recording 1.0873 on August 31, 2023." The statement from the Central Bank noted that foreign liabilities increased slightly due to some amounts received from abroad. "The Central Bank of Lebanon continues its policy of not disbursing any amounts from its foreign reserves for any purpose except within the framework of applying mechanisms."
