February Bids Us Farewell... Without Rain

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation's meteorological department predicts that the weather tomorrow will be partly cloudy to cloudy with fog forming in the highlands. Temperatures will decrease slightly along the coast and noticeably in the mountains and inland areas. The report states the following:

- General situation: Relatively stable weather is prevailing over Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean.

- Average temperatures for February range from 11.4 to 19.2 degrees.

- Expected weather in Lebanon:

- Wednesday: Clear to partly cloudy with a slight rise in temperatures, especially in the mountains and inland. It will turn partly cloudy in the evening with fog in the highlands.

- Thursday: Partly cloudy to cloudy with fog forming in the highlands; temperatures will decrease slightly along the coast and noticeably in the mountains and inland.

- Friday: Few clouds with fog in the highlands and a slight increase in temperatures.

- Saturday: Few clouds with local fog in the highlands and an additional increase in temperatures.

- Temperatures on the coast will range from 13 to 19 degrees; in the mountains from 2 to 10 degrees; inland from 1 to 16 degrees.

- Surface winds will be from the north to northwest at a speed of 10 to 30 km/h.

- Visibility: Good on the coast, worsening in the highlands due to fog in the evening.

- Relative humidity on the coast: Between 50 and 75%.

- Sea state: Low to moderate wave height; surface water temperature: 17 degrees.

- Atmospheric pressure: 764 mm Hg.

- Sunrise: 6:16 AM

- Sunset: 5:28 PM.
