Bill from "Strong Republic" for Extension of Army Commander

"Al-Markaziah" learned that there is a tendency within the Strong Republic bloc to submit a bill for the extension of the Army Commander to prevent any disruptions to the military institution during this delicate period. In this context, member of the Strong Republic bloc, MP George Adwan, stated from the Parliament that "the national interest necessitates acting extraordinarily; therefore, the Strong Republic bloc has proposed a bill to extend the rank of Major General to allow for the continuation of army leadership, as any dysfunction within the military institution threatens Lebanon's national security." He added, "Our proposal directly heads to the general assembly in a session with a single agenda item for the preservation of the supreme national interest." He continued, "We hope that a session will be called in the coming days at the latest to vote on the proposal."
