The Lebanese women's basketball team under 25 years old achieved victory over their Romanian counterparts with a score of 68 - 57, in the opening of the basketball competitions at the ninth Francophonie Games in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo. The match was attended by Lebanese Ambassador Haitham Ibrahim, the president of the Lebanese community Ibrahim Aissawi, and other community figures, alongside the head and members of the Lebanese delegation who supported the Lebanese players throughout the game. Lebanese player Yasha Zeinoun was the top scorer of the match with 16 points, followed by Qamar Mansour with 14. The Lebanese team will play their second match tomorrow morning, Friday, against Chad.
