Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani confirmed on Wednesday that he "agreed with the President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, to expand the scope of political and economic relations between the two countries." The Emir and President Cyril Ramaphosa held an official dialogue session at the Amiri Diwan.
The Emir stated: "During my discussions today with my friend Cyril Ramaphosa, we agreed to expand our political and economic relations. We also touched upon the Israeli war on Gaza and its implications for regional and international security. In this context, I praised South Africa and its President's supportive stance towards the Palestinian people and their just cause."
