The U.S. Geological Survey revealed that an earthquake measuring 7.6 on the Richter scale struck the Mindanao region in southern Philippines. It was noted that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 32 kilometers, in an area located approximately 21 kilometers northeast of Hinatuan.
