Member of the "Development and Liberation" bloc, MP Mohammad Khawaja, commented on Speaker Nabih Berri's initiative for dialogue regarding the presidential election: "Currently, we're taking a break." He emphasized that "we will not take the initiative, because Berri's initiative, which was supposed to produce a president within 10 days, has not yielded any results, and unfortunately, the prevailing culture of obstruction in the country, stubbornness, and personal calculations have made the initiative unfeasible." In an interview with "Wardna," he stated: "I believe that there is no salvation except by returning to Berri's initiative, with all due respect to the efforts made by friends and brothers," adding, "We should not allow anyone to intervene in internal matters, but unfortunately, we are the ones asking them to intervene."
