Al-Azhar University Refers 142 Doctors to Public Prosecution

The President of Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt, has referred 142 postgraduate doctors to the public prosecution due to submission of incorrect documents in their application files for joining the college. This action was taken following a memorandum presented to the President of Al-Azhar University, based on information received in the legal advisor's office and a note from the Dean of the Cairo Faculty of Medicine, which included the referral of the 142 postgraduate doctors to the public prosecution. The referral was based on the conclusions of disciplinary council decisions regarding them, which included a list of the doctors' names, their specialties, and the incorrect documents submitted.
