The Army Command - Directorate of Guidance, has revealed the outcomes of the security measures taken by army units in various Lebanese regions during July 2023. These measures led to the arrest of 460 individuals of different nationalities for their involvement in various crimes and offenses, including drug trafficking, theft, smuggling, possession of weapons and prohibited items, unlawful presence within Lebanese territory, and driving vehicles and motorcycles without legal documents.
The seizures included 194 military weapons of various types, 82 hand grenades, quantities of light and medium ammunition, a number of vehicles and motorcycles, as well as a quantity of drugs and various materials prepared for smuggling and several communication devices. The arrested individuals, along with the confiscated items, were handed over to the relevant authorities for further action.
