Armenia: One Dead and Injured in Explosion at Yerevan University Building

A person was killed and others were injured as a result of an explosion that shook a building at Yerevan University today, according to Armenian authorities, as reported by Sputnik News. The Armenian Ministry of Health announced the death of one person due to the explosion and stated, "There is preliminary information about a fatality and that three people were injured and have been taken to the hospital, where they are receiving necessary medical care." Earlier today, the Armenian Interior Ministry confirmed the occurrence of the explosion without mentioning the number of casualties or other details, while local media indicated that the explosion took place in the Faculty of Chemistry, leading to a fire.
