The Lebanese Basketball Federation has announced the names of the delegation for the Lebanon Under-19 Men's National Team, which will participate in the World Championship for this age category to be held in Hungary from June 24 to July 2. Below are the names of the delegation members: Maroun Gabriel (President), Sharbel Al-Bash (Coach), George Khaled and Serbian Vinko Pakic (Assistant Coaches), Razmik Bougjikian (Physiotherapist), Joe Nasir Zaiter (Fitness Trainer), Gio Abu Sliman, Jad Nasr, Brian Mansour, Carl Kazah, Abd Al-Sabbagh, Alaa Sabbagh, Joe Abu Samra, Karim Ratiel, Anthony Al-Naba, Carl Zmata, and Mustafa Asaf and Karim Salam (Players).
Lebanon has been drawn into Group B, which includes the United States, Madagascar, and Slovenia. The Lebanese team will play its first-round matches against Slovenia (1:00 PM Beirut time) on June 24, against Madagascar (8:30 PM) on June 25, and against the United States (4:00 PM) on June 26. The delegation will depart from Beirut to Hungary at 6:50 AM on Thursday, June 22. Preparations for the Under-19 team began in early March, accompanied by the team’s participation in the second division championship, a notable step by the Lebanese Federation that received support and praise from the Lebanese basketball community.
