The company "Touch" announced in a statement that "the quality of its service was fully affected in Beirut and some areas of Bekaa after a malfunction occurred in the Ogero central generator in Bir Hassan, noting that this central station serves as a key junction for both Ogero and Touch networks specifically." The statement added: "Accordingly, Touch coordinated with the Ogero management to restore electricity from the Electricité du Liban to the Bir Hassan central until the maintenance work being carried out by the technical team at Ogero is completed, aimed at repairing the generator, in addition to the support from Minister of Communications Engineer Johnny Karam, who personally intervened to restore electricity from the Electricité du Liban." It concluded: "As soon as service was restored at the Ogero central in Bir Hassan, Touch service returned to normal."
