Sources: Three Members of "Hezbollah" Killed in Israeli Strike on Syrian Quneitra

Two local sources close to Damascus reported the killing of three members of the Iranian-backed Lebanese group Hezbollah in an Israeli drone strike in southwestern Syria on Friday. One of the sources stated that the strike also resulted in the death of a Syrian who was accompanying them. The Israeli army declined to comment on the strike that took place in Quneitra, adjacent to the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. For years, Israel has been carrying out attacks on what it describes as Iran-linked targets in Syria, where Tehran's influence has increased since it began supporting President Bashar al-Assad in the civil war that erupted in 2011.
