Mawlawi Inspects the Operations at the Dekwaneh Licensing Office

Interior Minister Bassam Mawlawi, in the government of caretaker affairs, inspected the operations at the Dekwaneh licensing office following the partial reopening of the vehicle registration department last week. From the office, Mawlawi stated, "We listened to the citizens' complaints, and they are right, but the situation is gradually improving. Just as we have taken steps to simplify transactions, we will continue the steps we are carefully studying, and you will soon see streamlined measures."

He emphasized, "We will witness a serious fight against corruption with the officers and non-commissioned officers of the Internal Security Forces," noting that "with the judiciary hand in hand, we will combat corruption through proper administration."

Mawlawi pointed out that the issue of arrests lies with the judiciary and the prosecution, which is responsible for handling it, and that judges are free from all pressures. To assist citizens and alleviate their waiting difficulties, he mentioned, "We have reduced the paperwork, extended the validity of market books, and there is a team in the ministry continuously studying all the steps."
