Parliamentary Delegations and Residents of Kahale Meet Army Commander

The deputies: Ghassan Hasbani, Ashraf Rifi, Selim Sayegh, Elias Hankach, Bilal Al-Hachimi, Waddah Al-Saad, and Mark Dore, during their meeting with Army Commander General Joseph Aoun in his office in Yarzeh, affirmed their support for the army, praising its performance and wisdom in managing various security incidents, the latest being the incident in the town of Kahale on 9/8/2023. They underscored "the importance of the army's role in maintaining security and stability in Lebanon." General Aoun also received a delegation from the residents of Kahale in the presence of the intelligence director, where matters concerning the town and its recent events were discussed, along with the concerns of its residents. The delegation members praised the army's role during the current phase, confirming the importance of the historical relationship between the town and the military institution, and emphasizing the need to maintain this relationship based on mutual respect and to continue monitoring the legal file.
