The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants in the caretaker government, Abdullah Bou Habib, told his British counterpart James Cleverly during their meeting in Riyadh that "the two-state solution is the only way to reach a resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, to stop the war, and to prevent its expansion to neighboring countries." He emphasized the "necessity for Israel to halt its aggressions and the provocative statements of its officials against Lebanon and the Palestinians." Regarding the Syrian issue, Bou Habib told his British counterpart that "the situation in Syria cannot continue as it is, and the West needs to reconsider its approach and stance on the Syrian crisis and assist in the matter of early recovery in Syria."
