Prime Minister's Meeting Focuses on Reconstruction Efforts in Nabatieh

Prime Minister Nawaf Salam convened a meeting dedicated to overseeing the reconstruction efforts in the city of Nabatieh. Attendees included Minister of Public Works and Transport Fayez Rassamni, President of the Council for Development and Reconstruction Mohamed Ali Qabbani, President of the South Council Hashem Haidar, Director General of Urban Planning Ali Ramadan, Director of the Central Operations Room at the Prime Minister's Office Zahi Chahine, Mayor of Nabatieh Abbas Fakhruddin, and municipal council members Hussein Jaber, Khadir Qadih, Mohamed Kaheel, and Mohamed Hejazi.

Following the meeting, Prime Minister Salam emphasized that the revival of Nabatieh, the capital of Jabal Amel, is a top priority in the broader efforts to rejuvenate the South and ensure the return of its residents to their towns and villages. He highlighted the city's vital role as a provincial hub and its administrative, economic, and service functions.

The meeting showcased the progress made in the city's return and development process, addressing key needs and challenges still facing the area, especially in terms of infrastructure and public services. Participants agreed on mechanisms to follow up on these issues and coordinate efforts among relevant authorities to expedite the implementation of priority actions and projects.
