Berri Signs Laws Amidst Ongoing Attacks on South Lebanon

Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri has signed off on the laws that were voted on and approved during the general legislative session, setting them on the constitutional path towards being submitted to the government and published in the official gazette to come into effect.
In political remarks, Speaker Berri emphasized that the key to stability lies in compelling Israel to cease its war and withdraw to the international borders. He noted that Israel has continued its violations and persistent assaults on Lebanon and the South since November 2024.
