The Belarusian Ministry of Defense reported today, Wednesday, the arrival of Chinese Defense Minister Li Shangfu for an official visit to Belarus. The ministry stated in a press release: "The official visit of Member of the Central Military Commission, State Council Member, and Colonel Minister of Defense of China Li Shangfu to the Republic of Belarus has begun," noting that his visit will take place from August 16 to August 18. The Chinese minister is expected to hold meetings with the leadership of the Belarusian Ministry of Defense to discuss vital issues of bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest. He will also visit several military facilities of the Belarusian Armed Forces.
