The "Bernama" news agency reported that Malaysian authorities have decided to enhance the protection of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim following threats directed at him due to his pro-Palestinian stance. The Chief Inspector of Police in Malaysia, Tan Sri Razarudin, stated to the agency: "Protecting the Prime Minister and ensuring his security is our top priority." Law enforcement agencies in Malaysia have confirmed that the Prime Minister's protection will be increased.
Earlier, during a rally advocating for the Palestinians, the Malaysian Prime Minister spoke about the threats he has received due to his support for the Palestinian people. He wrote on "X": "Despite the challenges and threats, I tell the public that Malaysia will not stop at this stage, but will continue the struggle for the freedom of the Palestinians and condemn the aggression fearlessly."
