The head of the Free Patriotic Movement, MP Gibran Bassil, accompanied by MP George Atallah and advisor Antoine Constantine, visited Maronite Patriarch Bechara Al-Rahi at his summer residence in Diman. They discussed the current situation and ongoing communications regarding the presidential election. Attendees indicated that the meeting was positive and various current issues were addressed, particularly the presidency and the governorship of the Central Bank of Lebanon, alongside the governmental file. According to sources, Minister Bassil briefed Patriarch Al-Rahi on his recent meetings with Hezbollah.
In the afternoon, Patriarch Al-Rahi received the UN Secretary-General's special representative in Lebanon, Joanna Wronecka, who briefed him on the speech she would deliver at the United Nations, reaffirming the UN's commitment to assisting Lebanon in overcoming its crises.
