The Brazilian government plans to send at least six planes to repatriate its citizens wishing to leave Israel and the Palestinian territories following the attack initiated by Hamas, according to the Brazilian Air Force. Air Force Chief Marcelo Damasceno stated to the press after a meeting with officials from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense at the presidential office in Brasília, "We have six planes ready," with a capacity of up to 230 passengers. He added that the goal is to evacuate "all Brazilians in the area who wish" to leave, with the first flights scheduled to depart between Monday and Tuesday.
Hungary's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Péter Szijjártó, posted on Facebook this morning that his country evacuated 215 people from Israel on two planes overnight, and they safely landed in Budapest. Szijjártó thanked Israel, Cyprus, Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, and Romania for providing quick permissions for the two flights.
