Syria's news agency reported on Thursday that an Israeli airstrike targeted military sites in the south of the country. The agency quoted a military source stating: "Around 10:50 PM on Wednesday, the Israeli enemy carried out an aerial aggression from the direction of Baalbek, Lebanon, targeting some military points in the southern region." The source noted what was described as "some material losses," without providing further details. Meanwhile, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights stated that the Israeli strikes targeted points of the Syrian army in the southern province of Sweida. The center added that the Israeli strikes were accompanied by the sound of three explosions in the vicinity of the capital Damascus, resulting from shelling on Al-Qarabah in an area near a military airport located more than 10 kilometers west of Damascus International Airport, southwest of the Damascus countryside, leading to the deaths of three Iran-allied fighters and injuring three others, as an initial toll.
