The Israeli Army announced on Wednesday that it had discovered "one of the largest stockpiles of weapons belonging to Hamas," which is classified as a terrorist organization in the United States and other countries, in northern Gaza Strip. In a post on his account on the platform "X," the Israeli Army spokesperson for Arab media, Avichai Adraee, mentioned "the discovery of hundreds of rockets and launchers, long-range missiles, drones, and ready-to-use explosive devices near a clinic and a school in northern Gaza."
Adraee described this as "one of the largest stockpiles of weapons for Hamas in northern Gaza," accompanying his statement with a video showing some of those weapons. The stockpile reportedly included hundreds of various RPG rockets and launchers, dozens of anti-tank missiles, numerous explosive devices, long-range missiles aimed at launching towards central Israel, as well as dozens of hand grenades and drones, according to Adraee.
All weapons were seized by Israeli forces; some were detonated in the field while others were sent for further investigation, according to the spokesperson. He stated that "all the terrorist infrastructure was found near civilian buildings," adding "this is further evidence of Hamas using the residents of Gaza as human shields." Hamas, which has controlled the Gaza Strip since 2007, has not commented on the Israeli Army's claims.
