The Israeli army reported that air raid sirens sounded today, Friday, in the resort city of Eilat on the Red Sea in southern Israel, warning of a possible air attack from Yemen. Later, the army indicated that the sirens were false alarms and there were no signs of a security incident. The Houthis in Yemen have previously launched drones and missiles at Israel in solidarity with Palestinian militants that Israel has been fighting in Gaza since October 7.
