Pulisic Plans Return to Chelsea

American winger Christian Pulisic plans to return to Chelsea's lineup in the new season despite speculation about the end of his time at Stamford Bridge following a frustrating period in the English Premier League. Pulisic became the most expensive American football player when he joined Chelsea in 2019 for around 64 million euros ($68.54 million), but he has failed to perform at his best and has often been sidelined. The 24-year-old said after joining the U.S. squad ahead of the defense of their Nations League title in the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF), "According to the current situation, I am a Chelsea player and I plan to return, but a lot can happen." Pulisic expressed some concern about his lack of regular playing time with his team. He noted that "the journey has been exciting for him at the club level, as he has had two great years," and he expressed his eagerness to get some minutes on the pitch and return to being the confident player he knows he can be. "I want to regain my form and enjoy the game."
