United Nations Likely to Vote on Ceasefire in Gaza on Tuesday

Diplomats observed on Sunday that "it is likely that the United Nations General Assembly, which consists of 193 countries, will vote on Tuesday on a draft resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire for humanitarian reasons in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip." This move follows the United States using its veto power on Friday against a similar request in the Security Council.
