Lebanon Participates in "Guitar Olympiad"... Mikayelian Wins Gold Medal

Musician and guitarist Makrdyg Mikayelian, who represented Lebanon and Armenia at the Guitar Olympiad 2023 in Volos, as an ambassador for World Guitar Day, won the gold medal. More than 2,000 people attended this first-of-its-kind event held in Greece, which will become an annual tradition, enjoying classical guitar pieces that transported them to the world of refined music. It was published on the "Guitar Olympiad" website: "Mikayelian is a skilled player, creating a new history for the guitar in Lebanon, Armenia, and all over the world." Thus, this medal is considered a new Lebanese achievement, elevating Lebanon's name high this time through classical music and guitar playing.
