Death of Egyptian Artist After Health Crisis

The Egyptian artist Othman Mohamed Ali passed away on Sunday evening at the age of 88 after suffering a health crisis, just months after he had a stroke while filming a project. The late artist was the father of Egyptian actress Salwa Othman, who reportedly expressed to Egyptian media that she believed her father was in a diabetic coma before doctors announced his death. Throughout his artistic career, the late artist contributed to more than 250 works, most notably his roles in the series "I Will Not Live in My Father's Robe," "The Family of Hajj Metwally," "Al-Bataniya," and "Raafat El-Hagan." Two years ago, he participated in his last dramatic work by appearing in the series "Hayy Al-Sayida Zainab," and he was set to star in the series "Bablu" alongside Hassan El-Raddad. After filming several scenes, he suffered a stroke that required hospitalization, and he spent months undergoing physical therapy, which led him to decline participation in the series.
