The Colombian Geological Institute announced that a 6.1 magnitude earthquake hit the capital, Bogotá, today, Thursday. Minutes later, an aftershock occurred as people gathered in the streets. Adrián Alarcón, 43, said, "It was strong and lasted a long time... All my colleagues got up and looked at each other, thinking 'What are we going to do?'" Alarcón works in the busy Park 93 area of the capital. He added, "This makes me feel vulnerable... Life can change in an instant. You can do nothing but run to save your life."
