Theft of Cables from Electricity Stations in Shheim

The cables of the Merj Ali station belonging to the "Electricity of Lebanon" company in the town of Shheim, located at the junction of the town of Daria, were completely stolen, leading to a loss of electricity in the area. Another station's cables in the same region, specifically at the junction of the Expropriation neighborhood, were also stolen by unknown individuals. Security forces have been notified and have begun their investigations. The two incidents have reflected a state of condemnation and dissatisfaction among the residents of the Merj Ali area in Shheim, who have called on the security agencies to "act swiftly and pursue the perpetrators to bring them to justice and put an end to such violations that affect everyone, threaten security and stability, and disrupt the tranquility." They confirmed in a statement that they "will not allow the hand of evil to disturb the peace and stability of the region and to exploit the situation to execute their schemes for theft for their private interests at the expense of the public good."
