Wall Street Opens Lower

The main indices on Wall Street opened lower on Wednesday, as traders returned to cautiousness following significant optimism generated by a potential shift in the Federal Reserve (U.S. central bank) towards easing monetary policy, while FedEx shares dropped after bleak forecasts were released. The Dow Jones Industrial Average decreased by 37.79 points or 0.10% at the opening, reaching 37,520.13 points. The S&P 500 opened down 3.64 points or 0.08% to 4,764.73 points. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite fell by 29.86 points or 0.20% to 14,973.36 points as trading began.
