Ukrainian Agricultural Data Shows Grain Exports Exceed 5 Million Tons

Ukrainian agricultural data released on Wednesday indicates that Ukrainian grain exports have reached 5.1 million tons so far in March, compared to 1.4 million tons in March of the previous year. The data revealed that total Ukrainian grain exports have decreased by 16.7%, recording 37.4 million tons so far in the 2022-2023 season compared to the same period in the previous season. Regarding exports, the current season, which began in July and will end in June, includes approximately 12.8 million tons of wheat, 22 million tons of corn, and 2.27 million tons of barley. Ukrainian ports on the Black Sea, which represent major routes for grain exports, have been inactive since the Russian attack in February 2022, leading to a sharp decline in grain exports, which are now only accessible through small Danube River ports or via Ukraine's western borders.
