Former head of the Progressive Socialist Party Walid Jumblatt addressed U.S. President Joe Biden via his official account on the "X" platform, asking, "Can’t you propose a ceasefire instead of bringing in more troops and equipment?" He added, "Isn't 6,000 tons of bombs, 4,000 dead, and 10,000 injured, along with a million displaced people, enough?" Jumblatt continued, "Where should the people of Gaza stay, Mr. Blinken, when they have been left without homes?" He pointed out that "it would be best to have a United Nations resolution for a ceasefire to stop the destruction of Gaza, which will lead to total chaos in the region, and as a start, open the Rafah gate from all sides without preconditions. Just some ideas, Mr. Secretary."
