Sidon's municipal teams, under the direction of its mayor Hazem Badi, have commenced a campaign to remove unauthorized advertising signs that have been installed randomly on the main and secondary streets, as well as on light poles and trees. In this context, the mayor stated that "the campaign will continue for a week and will target every sign or banner that has not been licensed by the municipality in accordance with the regulations, covering various squares, neighborhoods, and streets." Badi mentioned that "this campaign is a continuation of the initiatives by the municipality, carried out with the support of the municipal police, to organize the commercial market and also prevent freezing fish stalls," expressing satisfaction with "the compliance of fish stall owners, for the third consecutive day, with the designated locations provided by the municipality behind the concrete blocks in the fish market area (Mira Sidon)." He also affirmed that "the Sidon municipal police will continue their patrols along the seaside corniche and throughout the city's streets to monitor the ongoing implementation of the decision to regulate the stalls."
