U.S. Stocks Decline

Major indexes on Wall Street opened lower on Friday, as U.S. bond yields rose due to stronger-than-expected data from the Producer Price Index, impacting share prices of technology giants sensitive to interest rate movements. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by 64.79 points, or 0.18 percent, to 35,111.36 points. The S&P 500 index declined by 18.14 points, or 0.44 percent, to 4,450.69 points, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped by 104.34 points, or 0.76 percent, to 13,633.65 points.
