Pakistani Army Reveals Identity of Recent Bomber

The Pakistani army announced today, Monday, that "an Afghan national carried out a suicide bombing on a military convoy, resulting in the deaths of two individuals, in the latest episode of a series of attacks that Islamabad claims are prompting them to deport Afghans." It clarified in a statement that "the bomber crashed his motorcycle into the military convoy yesterday, Sunday, in a tribal area near the Bannu region close to the Afghan border, injuring seven people, including military officials." The army stated, "The bomber, who was riding a motorcycle, was later identified as an Afghan national." The army did not elaborate on how the bomber's identity was determined, nor did it provide any details about his name or whether Kabul had offered any assistance with information.
