The U.S. Agency for International Development indicated on Tuesday that "the United States will provide over $4.1 million to assist those affected by the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, following Azerbaijan's restoration of the area which led to the mass displacement of Armenians." The agency stated in a press release: "The additional assistance will support efforts to provide aid to approximately 74,000 refugees and displaced persons from the region who sought refuge in Armenia." According to the statement, the aid will help increase food assistance, provide humanitarian protection, and offer emergency shelter.
