The public prosecutor of Mount Lebanon, Judge Ghada Aoun, clarified on the platform "X" regarding the "Palms" project: "To all concerned, especially those spreading false news to tarnish my reputation for known purposes and benefits, while reserving my right to take legal action, I reaffirm that the final deadline granted for the Palms project, based on the request of the Public Prosecution, is only until September 23, without any extensions whatsoever. Enough lies and exploitation." It is noteworthy that the "Palms" tourism project was built on the land of the Dog River and is managed by the "Casino of Dog River" Company. It was established by filmmaker Simon Asmar under a presidential decree, but later drew criticism for violating archaeological sites and natural resources, particularly near the historical water bridges close to the Nebuchadnezzar plaque.
