According to the newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth," as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was delivering his speech at the United Nations, new fires broke out in the Gaza border settlements due to "fire balloons." The newspaper noted that approximately 5 dunams of crops were consumed by the flames in Kisufim, as a result of fire balloons launched from Gaza. Meanwhile, Channel 13 reported comments from Avigdor Lieberman, the leader of the "Yisrael Beiteinu" party, stating, "It's no surprise when there is a government of clowns, that the launch of fire balloons from the Gaza Strip continues."
