Four sources from the OPEC+ alliance have told Reuters that it is unlikely the alliance will adjust its current oil production policy when it meets for its ministerial monitoring committee next Wednesday, as supply shortages and growing demand are driving up oil prices. Ministers from the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and allies outside the group led by Russia, known as OPEC+, are scheduled to meet on October 4th. The committee, known as the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee, may call for a full OPEC+ meeting if it sees this as necessary.
