A source in the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Reuters that Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan made two phone calls today, Sunday, with his Spanish and Jordanian counterparts to discuss the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas). The source did not provide any further details about the calls. Fidan had discussed the ongoing fighting yesterday with his American, Qatari, Saudi, Iranian, Palestinian, and Egyptian counterparts, and Ankara has stated that it is ready to assist in calming the situation before it worsens and expands.
