A group of Russian fighters supportive of Ukraine announced today, Sunday, that they captured two Russian soldiers during combat in the Belgorod region of Russia, and proposed a prisoner exchange during a meeting with the regional governor. In a video recording shared via the Telegram app by the Russian Volunteer Corps, a man identifying himself as the commander stated that he would hand over the "prisoners to the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, if he comes to meet the fighters in the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka before 5 PM local time (14:00 GMT)." A joint statement published with the video read: "You have until 5 PM today to communicate unarmed and receive the Russian citizens, two ordinary soldiers sent by you and your political leadership to meet their end."
