The army's leadership – Directorate of Guidance issued a statement today, Saturday, stating: "On September 23, 2023, a patrol from the Lebanese Navy, with the assistance of the Lebanese Civil Defense, managed to rescue 27 illegal migrants who were on board one of the rubber boats as it was sinking off the coast of Chekka. The army's leadership warns against the dangers of illegal migration as it jeopardizes the lives of migrants, in addition to facing legal consequences before the relevant authorities, and confirms that its military units will continue to take the necessary actions to combat it."
