US Senate Majority Leader Disappointed by China's Statement on Hamas Attacks

Speaking in Beijing, Schumer stated, "I urge you and the Chinese people to stand with the Israeli people and condemn these cowardly, brutal attacks," referring to the wide-ranging assault by the Palestinian group Hamas on Israel. A spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry commented today, Monday, on the crisis in the Middle East, stating that Beijing opposes violence and attacks.
