Turkish Drone Kills Kurdish Officials

Kurdish authorities in eastern Syria announced that two Kurdish officials and their driver were killed today, Tuesday, in a Turkish drone attack targeting their vehicle in the Kurdish-controlled area. According to a statement from the authorities, the victims were Yusra Darwish, the co-chair of the Qamishli Administrative Council, and Leyman Shweish, an advisor to the Kurdish-led Autonomous Administration, along with their driver. Gabriel Shamon, a co-chair of the council, was injured in the attack.

Kurdish medical sources and a security source reported that the Turkish drone targeted their vehicle in the village of Tal Sha'er in northeastern Syria. The Turkish Ministry of Defense has not yet responded to a request for comment.
